A PCS gives you a short window and a long list. I hold the Military Relocation Professional designation, I live and work next to MCBH Kane‘ohe Bay, and I have walked families through this from the mainland before they ever landed.
You have been told you cannot buy here
Usually by someone who never ran the numbers. Hawai‘i is expensive and the entry point is real, but rent is not free either. I will show you the actual math for your situation before you decide anything.
You are selling and want a plan
Not a sign in the yard and a hope. I trained in design, so I walk your house and tell you which small fixes pay you back at closing and which expensive ones will not.
Why my sellers do better
I was a designer before I was a broker
I started college studying interior design because I believed good design could make housing more livable. I finished my degree in early childhood education and taught while my kids were small. In between I worked in graphic design, made signs, and spent years renovating and decorating houses, mostly other people’s.
That is still the first thing sellers notice about working with me. I can stand in your living room and tell you what a buyer will see in the first eight seconds, what to change, and what to leave alone because it will never earn the money back.
Then I market the house like something worth looking at, because it is.
