How I got here
I started college studying interior design. The thing that pulled me in was not decorating, it was the idea that the way a home is designed decides how well people actually live in it. I finished my degree in early childhood education and taught part time while my kids were small.
In between, I worked in graphic design. I made signs. I spent years renovating, remodeling and decorating houses, most of them belonging to other people who just wanted someone with an opinion and a plan.
I have bought and sold homes in four states. Hawai‘i is the one I chose. When the chance came to move here, my family took it and we stayed. My husband coaches college basketball. We have three kids and a Yorkie named Maksim.
What that background is worth to you
If you are selling, it means I can stand in your living room and tell you what a buyer sees in the first eight seconds. Which fix pays you back at closing. Which expensive remodel will not, so you keep the money. Then I market the house like something worth looking at.
If you are buying, it means I can walk a place with you and separate the problems that are cosmetic from the ones that are structural, expensive or a reason to leave. In a market this tight, knowing what can be fixed later is what lets you say yes to the right house instead of waiting for a perfect one that does not exist.
I have been licensed in Hawai‘i since 2019 and a broker since 2022.
